Complimentary Tele-Seminar Tonight – Call In to Hear My Mentor
This post if for anyone reading out there, always hearing me talk about the courses happening in Toronto, wanting something you can do from your country or city.
I’m excited to tell you about the tele-class tonight with my Mentor Tulshi Sen. The great thing is you can just call in and listen to see if you like it, no travelling, you can even wear your pyjamas if you want! No one will ever know.
The details are below. I just posted it recently, but I wanted to highlight for you so you could participate.
As I looked forward to the call, I appreciated how much my Mentor/Teacher has done for me.
Then, this morning as I was lying in bed Visioning my day and my life, a thought popped into my head about my first yoga teacher. I started laughing to myself remembering how weird it was when I became a yoga teacher. My first year of teaching yoga – I sounded exactly like him! I felt like an observer as his words kept coming out of my mouth as I taught.
Then I met Yogi Bhajan, the Master of Kundalini Yoga. Well, I never actually met him personally, I saw him on stage in front of a big crowd of students. He was very challenging, alternating between yelling at everyone to “Wake Up” and inspiring us all to love and serve as teachers. Sometimes I left his talks not sure what had happened but taking gems of wisdom with me.
I began teaching yoga full-time. For 3 years I was focused on getting more and more classes, travelling all over the place on my bicycle, I saw myself falling into a rut, not sure what to do next. I loved teaching, but all the running around was getting to be a drag. That summer I began to long for a teacher to show me what I should do next.
Of course, soon after that I met my Mentor Tulshi Sen. He didn’t teach yoga, although it always surprised me a little when he would throw in a yoga pose here and there. And, even though at first I wanted him to, he never told me what to do. He taught me how to have the spirit of an entrepreneur, while following my heart, and living by my principles. In fact, you wouldn’t be reading this blog if it wasn’t for the principles he taught me.
The course of my life changed by having these Teachers. I have a deep love and respect for all of them. I am so grateful for all the steps that led me to meeting each one of them, even though they sometimes seemed hard. If I had more trust then, I would have saved myself a lot of worrying.
So I ask you to consider who your teachers are? Where do you get inspiration?
